About UsCelf o Gwmpas registered as a charity and was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 1997. Our head office is in Llandrindod Wells which also serves as a workshop and gallery space. Celf o Gwmpas is the leading provider of arts for adults with learning disabilities in Powys. We promote and provide high quality arts experiences primarily for adults with learning disabilities, leading to new art work in the communities of Powys. Our vision is that art for people with learning disabilities will be recognised as a vital stand of a full life, and that art by people with learning disabilities will be recognised as being artistically rich, expressive and valuable. We run projects around Powys, some projects end with a performance to the public and to friends and family, some projects will lead to an exhibition of work in our gallery in Llandrindod and in other galleries. Sometimes work is sold, with the artist earning money for their work. In all of our work we have very high standards; performances and work for exhibition and for sale promote the abilities and skills of people with learning disabilities. We are keen to support and promote people with particular talent, as well as to offer high quality opportunities for people of all abilities. Some projects are open to everyone; other projects are aimed at people with particular interests. Some projects, such as those that we run in college holiday periods are mainly for fun and maybe to experience something new. Some projects aim to help people develop skills over a period of time, learning about different art techniques, and building up experience. We also go on visits to exhibitions, and promote performances by professional companies who have actors with disabilities, such as About Face and Hi Jinx. BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE TEAM
