Save Celf o GwmpasThe Arts Council of Wales has decided to stop funding Celf o Gwmpas This is revenue funding which is vital to support the staff who work hard to run such inspiring projects. Celf is a unique charity, no other organisation in Powys, Wales or we think the UK provides projects across such a huge rural area with all of the expertise and experience that we have in working with people with learning disabilities, liaising with all the support organisations that are involved with people's lives and understanding issues facing people with learning disabilities. We maintain a total commitment to excellence, progressive thinking and to the power of art to make a difference, to give a voice to people who are so often not heard. We need your helpHere is what you can do, all or any of these! Write to us. We need letters of support saying why you value Celf, what difference we make to you or to the people that you support and/or to the richness of life in Powys. We can use these letters in our campaign to the Arts Council and also to support other funding applications. Write to your MP and/or your Welsh Assembly Member, or the oppositions candidates. Tell them why Celf is such a great organisation and what will be lost if we have to close. Write to your County Councillor, telling them why they need to support Celf o Gwmpas' campaign Give us financial help. We urgently need money to help us run this campaign, as well as to provide a cushion while we apply for other sources of funding.
