Board We currently have two vacancies on the Board. We are looking for people who can make a commitment of four meetings per year, plus occasional other meetings and involvement with staff as required. We need people who can offer one or more of the following:

Volunteering provides many benefits to the organisation and to people involved in our projects. Celf o Gwmpas is committed to working with volunteers to meet its purpose and objectives. Volunteering involvement in appropriate tasks is welcome, encouraged, developing at all levels of the organisation's activity. Celf o Gwmpas is committed to providing opportunities through volunteering for its participants. Volunteering is a two way process and you will gain as much as you give. We can offer on the job training in arts enabling. In return we would expect a commitment for the duration of a project (between 6-10 sessions). We are looking for volunteers for arts enabling, driving (including mini bus) and advocacy. All successful volunteers appointments will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau check for working with Vulnerable Adults. Be Our Friend! Being a friend of Celf status, gives you the unique opportunity to support the organisation from within, giving you the chance to contribute to any future projects, as well as the life and prosperity of Celf. You will be required to be commit to a small number of meetings throughout the year and be expected to contribute your time and resources enthusiastically and constructively to various events with which you have the freedom to suggest and initiate subject to consent by the board of trustees. You will be in a position to make a strong application to become a trustee should a vacancy become available on the board of trustees. Becoming a friend of Celf will be a rewarding and interesting experience. You will learn more about working towards self advocacy in the learning disabilities sector as well as gaining a greater understanding of different artistic mediums and the contribution art can make to the community. Make a donation to Celf O Gwmpas Your donation to Celf O Gwmpas will help us to continue to endeavour that art by people with learning disabilities will be recognised as being artistically rich, expressive and valuable as well as promote and provide high quality arts experiences, creating new artwork in the communities of Powys. Make a regular donation £10 a month could enable a Celf O Gwmpas participant to regularly attend a Spiral Group or the camera club. Alternatively it could buy paint and materials to encourage the artist to continue their artwork from home. Make a one-off donation £20 could help us subsidise transport for the duration of a project or provide a support worker for the session. Give through your payroll Payroll giving is an easy way to make regular donations direct from your gross pay to Celf O Gwmpas. It's tax-efficient and actually costs you less while giving Celf O Gwmpas more. Legacies A legacy is a gift of money, property or possessions left in your will. If you decide to give to a charity such as Celf O Gwmpas, the gift is tax-free. There are different types of legacies:

If you would like to consider sponsoring Celf O Gwmpas in kind rather than financially please contact Jane Cooke on 01597 822777 or email Collection boxes are a well established and valued method of fundraising, allowing the general public to make donations of loose change quickly and conveniently. You do not have to count and bank the money in the collection box when full. Ring the Celf O Gwmpas office when your box is full and upon collection we will give you a new empty box. We will then count the received donations and our finance department will record the amount. We will then send a thank you card and newsletter to you in the post. If you can help by having a collection box on your premises please contact: Kayte or Jane on 01597 822777 or email If you know of a business where you can site a collection box, which you can also deliver and collect please let us know. You will receive a small payment towards expenses, and we will count and bank the contents and also send out a thank you card and newsletter on your behalf.
